Biography (Curriculum Vitae)
Andrew Palmisano, M.D. is a fellowship trained board certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in knee and hip replacement surgery. Dr. Palmisano decided to become a surgeon at a young age, as he enjoyed fixing things with his hands. The most rewarding part of his work is helping a patient regain function, thereby improving their quality of life while decreasing their joint pain.
Dr. Palmisano is a fellowship trained, board certified orthopedic surgeon who received his medical doctorate, graduating with honors, from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, OH. He completed his residency in 2016 in orthopedic surgery at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. He moved on to his fellowship in Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH, finishing in July of 2017. During his training, Dr. Palmisano mastered the most current techniques in the field of joint replacement. Dr. Palmisano has published and participated in multiple research articles and studies throughout his career and has presented his research on both regional and national platforms.
He is an active member of AAOS-American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and AAHKS-American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
